SublimeNZ Launch / Monte Cristo Room @ Toto Restaurant

Arriving fashionably late (is that still fashionable?) I was in time for a couple of complimentary beverages at the SublimeNZ Promo Model Agency on Ponsonby Rd.

Managing Director Robert Bruce informs me I've just missed the speeches (whew!). Next announcement - a dramatic, almost pregnant, pause; $1,000,000 worth of Audis & Porsches are parked outside to ferry guests to the Monte Cristo Room at Toto Restaurant in downtown Auckland.

Grabbing my camera, a fresh Carlsberg and a model named Anastasia I soon found myself on my favourite fashion accessory (the red carpet) surrounded by hotties.

Obligatory shots of girls leaning on a Porsche and it was downstairs to porn up those lucky enough to be on the guest list.

This was the first of the Sublime Event Series and heralded the opening of the luxurious Monte Cristo room at Totos (Metro Magazine's Best Italian Restaurant 2007).

The Sublime Event Series is set to become world famous - although further down country it would probably be viewed as "JASI" 'just another stupid idea' from a pack of wanking JAFA's.

Still, who cares what the rest of the country thinks - if we want to wank on about getting pissed and falling over in style it sure beats carnal bovine knowledge. And no step ladder required!

But enough of my late night trepidations and on wiith the story...

We did manage to lure Stuee the Night Guy from ZM's Night Show (obviously - he is the Night Guy) into the Ladies Restroom for an interview. I'm not sure why but the ladies is always the best lit, furnished and soundproof room of any venue.

Of course his 'agent' confiscated the film as I tried to make my escape out the window in the end cubicle. I really must go digital sometime this century!

Rumour has it that some video footage was salvaged and will be available soon on YouTube - we'll let you know about the scandal before the news breaks.
